About a week or so ago I posted a photo of this neutral Makeup Geek palette on Instagram. I have seriously gotten SOO many questions regarding the shades I have in this & you all requested swatches on all the shades, as promised I have swatched and named them all!
First let me talk to you a little bit about these eye shadows. Anybody who knows me, follows me on Instagram or watches my YouTube videos knows just how much I LOVE Makeup Geek! Not just their shadows but all of their products in general are amazeballs! It’s very hard for me to love eyeshadow. I’ve tried a lot of brands & most are either not pigmented enough for my liking or they are really chalky & don’t blend. But when I discovered Makeup Geek, almost 2 years ago, I most certainly never looked back! The Pigmentation is 100/100 they blend smoothly, are not chalky & theres an amazing variety of finishes; from matte to shimmer to satin.. everything you could desire in an eyeshadow is right here! I easily grab for these so much more than my MAC other high end brands. The best part is, they’re extremely affordable. Each eyeshadow costs only $5.99.. I know crazy right?! It’s not just the products that make this brand so amazing to me, but the amazing people behind it. Marlena & her team are seriously some of the most genuine people I have had the pleasure of meeting. The customer service is like no other I have experienced. I’ve had issues with placing orders in the past, all I did was email & they helped me out so much from there, always so prompt with their replies, I’ve never had a bad experience.
Now onto the palette! The palette I keep these shadows in is the Extra Large Z Palette in Black it holds 35 eyeshadows perfectly. Easy to clean & maintain, that’s why we get black the mess is less noticeable haha. For the names of all the shades in this palette, refer to the pictures below, all shades are in order L-R
I know I’ve listed Cupcake & Moondust twice, I didn’t realise I had doubles until after the swatches! I also thought I’d add swatches of my colour palette (all by Makeup Geek), for all my makeup lovers who want to add a bit off colour to their collection/kit.
I didn’t use a base for any of these swatches. Just pure pigment on my clean arm. I took all of these photos with my Canon EOS700D & in front of a ring light. As you can see they’re extremely pigmented & there is a great number of different finishes!
I hope you enjoyed reading as much as I enjoyed writing, expect more swatches & reviews coming soon!
Much Love ♡
