I was introduced to the Eye Of Horus brand maybe 2 or 3 years ago, I attended a beauty expo called Salon Melbourne and came across their products at one of the stalls and was instantly drawn to the beautiful Egyptian design on the packaging. I bought a couple of their eyeliners and to this day they are probably the longest wearing black liners I own.

Based in Byron Bay, Eye Of Horus is formulated in the style of the Ancient Egyptians with natural waxes and oils. The line includes Mascara, Eyeliner Pencils, Liquid Liner, Eye shadows and Brow Products. All products are smudge-proof, long lasting, water resistant, paraben and cruelty free and are amazing for sensitive eyes.

A cool fact I recently learned was their products contain Organic Moringa Oil, The oil of the Pharaohs – Found in King Tutankhamen’s tomb! That’s seriously so cool!

Eye Of Horus recently launched their new Goddess Look boxes, each box made up of four Eye Of Horus products including: Mascara, Eye Pencil, Trio Shadow Palette and Liquid Metal Liner, which retail at $89AUD each. These beautiful boxes are made with the intention of awakening every woman’s inner Goddess  (which, let’s be honest is bomb AF because who hasn’t dreamed of being a Goddess, eh?!) I have been playing around with them for a little while now and am still dying over the shades, most of all the longevity of the products, they last for.ever. Theres 4 different Goddess Boxes; Luna Light, Sultry Siren, Golden Temptress & New Dawn.

Sultry Siren would have to be my favourite, as I have green eyes the purple and copper shades really make my eyes POP! Also the Tarot card inside the box truly made my heart smile and made me love the Sultry Siren that little bit extra haha , it reads:

The Sultry Siren Goddess is associated with purity, beauty and enlightenment. She is represented by the Lotus Flower symbol, which is connected with spiritual awakening. The Lotus Flower closes at night and sinks underwater only to re-emerge the next morning from the muddy waters to bloom again. It has faith every night that it will be able to re-emerge into it’s pure state of beauty again.’ the box also comes with a lotus flower necklace.

The look I’ve created was done using all the products in the Sultry Siren Box, the pigmentation of these eyeshadows was amazing, they’re so creamy and easy to blend. As well as the eye pencil, super easy to work with such a creamy formula and super long lasting (I mean it, this thing is hard to get off! haha). That touch of copper was perfect, the liner was perfectly pigmented and simple to work with. I’ll list all the products I used on my face below.

The colours of the eye pencils truly makes your eyes pop, I can work with any of these colours and find that my eyes look really bright. They’re deliciously creamy (as I mentioned) and definitely a must have in my kit. The mascara is one of my favourites of all time, perfectly separates my lashes while giving me amazing volume as well. The liquid liners come in unique shades that I actually don’t own, you can tell by the swatches they’re extremely pigmented and are also water resistant. I honestly don’t have a bad thing to say about Eye Of Horus, after discovering their products years ago, I haven’t been able to stay away, try them for yourself and you’ll understand why I love them so much haha!

The products used in this look are:

Eye of Horus Sheba Mystical Goddess Eyeshadow Palette

Eye of Horus Copper Sphinx Liquid Metals

Eye of Horus Nubian Brown Goddess Pencil

All can be found in the Sultry Siren Goddess Look Box.

What type of Goddess would you describe yourself as? Leave me a comment and let me know!

  1. I’m in love with the Golden Temptress, it looks amazing. The gold colour is unique and just stands out. It reminds me of the quote “why are you trying so hard to fit in, when your born to stand out” I would definitely describe myself as a unique goddess. I wouldn’t want to be like everyone else, I want to constantly try make a look on me that’s not like every other make up artist 💜
