Designer Brands Flawless Face Range Review

You’ve already heard me talk about Designer Brands Cosmetics SOO many times – needless to say they’re basically my favourite drugstore brand. I’ve been playing with their new Flawless range and I’m pretty much here to give you the lowdown on these products, my thoughts and some swatches!

A little info on DB Cosmetics – they’re Vegan and Cruelty Free! With high quality products at super affordable prices, their products suit all skin tones and types and are so easy to use. Their products can be purchased from

Such a creamy, smooth formula, I have super dry skin and this foundation looks bomb – doesn’t flake off, doesn’t get patchy – it’s actually quite hydrating and makes my skin look healthy. It gives me a beautiful healthy glow. The texture of this foundation is (as I mentioned before) very creamy and smooth. It has a very luxe feel to it, I personally, think this is a great dupe for the Make Up For Ever HD Stick Foundation (just a lot cheaper, only $14.99!! – who can say no to that?!). I prefer to apply this foundation to my skin straight from the stick itself.

Application tip: When applied to the skin, press in with a Beauty Blender for a flawless finish. For more coverage blend with a brush instead.

The Flawless Lip And Cheek Cream in the shade ‘Flushed’ has a beautiful pigment. It’s a beautiful pink shade with a slight coral tone to it. Very long wearing you wouldn’t need to touch up throughout the day. The texture is quite unique, its very creamy but once applied has a sort of cream-powder finish. This can be applied with a brush or directly onto the skin from the tube.

Application tip: Blend out the colour with your fingers (the heat in your fingers emulsifies the products making it super easy to blend).

The Flawless Strobing Illuminator stick is probably one of the best drugstore highlights I’ve used. Once applied to the skin it gives such a natural glow, as if you’re glowing from within. It basically blends in so well you’d think it’s your skin! I love the stick format for this as it makes for easier application. The texture of this is also quite creamy, and buttery – it just melts into your skin.

Application tip: Definitely use your fingers for this one, the heat in your fingertips melts the product into your skin making it easier to manoeuvre and blend.

One of my all time favourite foundations – not just from the drugstore, but out of all the brands I own this is in my top 10! With medium – full coverage this is one of the only full coverage foundations I own that does not flake off my skin. The best part about it is that it feels SO unbelievably light on my skin – full coverage that is as light as a feather. There is many different shades to chose from, they even have a mix of cool and warm undertones. I definitely apply this with a dense kabuki brush for full coverage.

Application tip: Once applied with a brush, press over skin with a damp Beauty Blender for a flawless ‘photoshopped look’ finish.

I generally don’t buy cheap eyeshadows merely for the fact I’m always left disappointed. They’re either too chalky or there’s no colour payoff. I’ve FINALLY found some beautiful, affordable palettes I love. The texture of these shadows are soft and velvety, they blend beautifully without much effort and last ages! They have a large range of colours (swatches below are only a FEW of their palettes). I love applying these with a fluffy brush or flat shader.

Application Tip: For a more intense colour on the lid, wet your flat shader brush and dab on top.

Love, love LOVE! Enriched with camomile, cucumber and great tea – this setting spray doesn’t only set your makeup, but leaves your skin feeling so freehand hydrated! It sets your makeup instantly and feels super light when sprayed. I love the dewy/ luminous finish this leaves on my face.

Application Tip: Make sure to hold the bottle about 20cm from your face when spraying.

Needless to say DB cosmetics is one of my all times fav drugstore brands, I’ve never actually used a cheaper brand and loved every single one of their products! They’re honestly worth the go, and worth every penny in my opinion. Have you tried DB Cosmetics before? Your thoughts? Let know in the comments! Also, be sure to check out my video below, using all DB Cosmetics!
