How annoying is it when you go shopping & you find that perfect summer dress, but refrain from buying it as it just so happens to be backless & you feel uncomfortable showing your back as you have a serious case of bacne? I can relate to this situation as it has happened to me on many occasions. It is an uncomfortable topic to discuss for many. But one thing you must know is you’re not the only one going through this.
A large number of people around the world suffer from bacne. Your back has a large surface of which has numerous pores. Being that, this area will produce large quantities of oil on a daily basis. Acne increases when the oil clogs the pores. Usually, when you’re hot & sweaty the sweat will clog your pores, increasing the acne. Hormones also play a huge factor in the increase of the acne. It will occasionally get worse at certain times of the month then decrease soon after.
I’m not going to lie, I don’t work out too often nor do I do any vigorous amounts of movement so I was really confused as to why I was suffering from such bad bacne. I’ve never had much of an issue with it on my face, just the odd pimple here & there, but I think I definitely made up for that with my back. It was really bad for so many years & I just could not pinpoint what was causing it! Until about a week or two ago it clicked! Bacne is caused by oil clogging the pores, right? Well, when we wash our hair we like to keep our conditioner in for that little bit longer while we finish up everything else, while we are doing that where is our hair lying? Flat on our backs! what we fail to remember is while we are conditioning our hair and making sure it soaks it all in, our back is also soaking up all that product & oil & its getting stuck in our pores, causing crazy back breakouts! Since realising that I now keep a clip in the shower & have begun to clip my hair up while its conditioning & I finish whatever it is I need to do.
One product that has helped me out immensely & I officially swear by is the Dr. Lewinns Liquid Loofah. I probably should have taken before & after photos but I didn’t really use it to get rid of my bacne, I just thought it was a normal body scrub! I used this once.. literally once & I woke up the next morning with a clear back. All gone, not a sign of a pimple, I could not believe it. I honestly cannot even explain to you the shock, I mean you’re supposed to use products over a period of time to see results, right? I only used this once & it was all gone. I’ve been using this everyday ever since & I am amazed at how clear my back has stayed. Do you ever feel that some exfoliators are to coarse & feel to tough on the skin? This one doesn’t, it’s the right amount of tough to exfoliate well & remove all the dead skin, while not leaving your skin raw red. This treatment scrub is enriched with loofah & fruit derived ingredients for gentle exfoliation & Apricot & sweet Almond Oils to nourish & moisturise. Now in saying this I’m not implying that it will work the same for everybody, but it’s definitely worth giving a go. Also when using this, or even if you’re not using it whenever you’re washing your hair clip your hair up to avoid clogging your pores with product! That itself wil help you loads.
That was my little secret, let’s keep it between us!
